The purpose of the weekends are to open ourselves, to each other and to God for growth and healing.
The experienced facilitators regularly run personal development workshops use various therapeutic approaches including:
-Gestalt and 'Here and Now -Healing of the inner child -Body work, -Primal therapy, -Transactional Analysis
What is Gestalt?
Gestalt is holistic, experiential and non-analytical.
Gestalt encourages paying attention to the ways human beings express themselves through:
Basic awareness
Stories, words and sounds
Emotional expression
Body language
Dreams
Relationships
Journey into Healing rests on the conviction that God is already bringing healing and wholeness to those who come for help. Prayer and spiritual growth is nurtured. The healing journey of the ‘wounded healer’ is valued in our workshops.
Those participating in Journey into Healing conferences will be required to:
-attend all of the group sessions -take responsibility for him/herself -keep confidential all that is said and done in a group session.
This is an agreement asked of each individual.
It is not a requirement that group members be professing Christians, but this is the context in which the group runs.
